Hello,
Thank you very much for the video shared.
Please also accept our sincere apologies for the delayed reply.
We are currently dealing with a higher load of emails and due to the current situation, our responses are delayed.
From
the video, we suspect that the reason why you cannot access and ping
the website might be due to some network interferences/restrictions on
your device (since you are able to access them via your mobile phone),
and in this case, we can once more suggest you check your Internet
connection settings and firewall to check if any rules are added against
our website (and IP address), or, try connecting your PC to some other
network in order to try to connect via that specific network.
One
more solution we can suggest is to try connecting to our servers, and
after that, if the connection is possible, to try to access and ping our
website.
You can download the latest Proton VPN application for your Windows device by following this link: https://protonvpn.com/download/ProtonVPN_win_v2.3.2.exe
If the application download is successful and the connection is afterward, please try accessing our website once more.
Please
also keep in mind that each Proton VPN server runs a DNS server as
well, and our native apps have a default DNS leak protection feature
that forces your internet connection to resolve DNS queries via our DNS
servers. This means that when you are connected to Proton VPN, your DNS
queries go through our encrypted VPN tunnel, and during this process,
please do not add some custom DNS addresses, since such a setup might
interfere while testing.
To
further clarify, if you are using a custom DNS server, it will override
our own DNS servers and will utilize the DNS server that you have
specified. When it comes to such a setup, we will be unable to guarantee
that you will not experience leaks, nor that your ISP will not be able
to see the DNS requests. The DNS requests will be sent through the VPN
tunnel and use the encryption, but they will be handled by the DNS
provider that you are using, and all of the privacy/security concerns in
such a setup should be addressed by the custom DNS provider, and not
Proton VPN, as the DNS requests are not handled by our own internal DNS
servers.
Thank you very much for your cooperation and patience during this process.
Looking forward to your reply.
Have a nice day!
Best regards,
Jakjim
